Goodshop
“Simply do good.” That’s the phrase they have up on the wall at Goodshop.
Goodshop combines shopping with raising money for good causes. As users take advantage of online coupons, Goodshop donates to your favorite cause. Goodshop also allows users to create a cause and invite friends to shop to support that cause. Goodshop’s business model is affiliate marketing and SEO.

As the creative director for Goodshop I managed an in house team of six skilled in UX Design, graphic design and copywriting.
My team and I transformed the user experience by:
• Growing the team from one internal UX designer to a team of 6.
• Partnering with engineering to define a set of reusable web widgets for desktop and email.
• Expanding visual the style guide.
• Establishing a voice, tone and copy style guide.
• Established design processes that included transitioning to Sketch and Invision.
• Aligned team processes with project management to streamline our agile methodology.
My team launched a number of enhancements, including:
• Moving all emails to responsive templates.
• Transitioning our mobile responsive breakpoint to material design.
• Created android versions of Goodshop apps.
• Redesigning the web site. Including new global navigation, new home page, improved customer on-boarding and more.
• Creating reusable landing pages for holiday promotions.
• Adding several new coupon categories, including travel, groceries and local.
• Designing and releasing a crowd-funding platform and integrated browser extension.
About seventy percent of my time at Goodshop was managing and collaborating with my team as well as improving our many products. I have included here a few project that I completed myself in the remaining time.

A holiday landing page I designed for Goodshop Sunday.
This was a responsive design with four breakpoints (see below).
